Ardilla Leona Davis

Ardilla Holt Davis was born April 23, 1930 in Linden, Tennessee the daughter of the late Harvey Dixon and Bessie Sally Holder Holt. She married Cladis B. Davis May 17, 1941 and he died January 24, 1992. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Lou Davis; four brothers, Charley Holt, Milton Holt, Wallace Holt, and Lewis Holt. Mrs. Davis departed this life Wednesday, August 10, 2011at her home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 3 Months, 18 Days. Mrs. Davis, a member of Beech Creek Church of Christ, was a homemaker, previously did farm work and was a department store clerk. She married Cladis B. Davis May 17, 1941 and he died

January 24, 1992.



She is survived by sons, Leo B. Davis and Thomas Wayne Davis both of Waynesboro; four daughters, Sally A. Tamez of Waynesboro, TN and Brenda S. Hebert of Mayflower, AR; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and

6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Dwight Holt of Tupelo, MS; six sisters, Mae Tatum of Waynesboro, TN, Willie Daven of St. Peters, MO, Lockie Vandervoort of O'Fallon, MO, Nell Miller of Winsville, MO, Margie Fleet of St. Peters, MO, and Roma Lee Short of Baldwin, MS.



Services will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Jerry Garner and Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery on Beech Creek with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
