Arion Lavon Hunt of Waynesboro, TN was born January 4, 1942 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Albert Huey and Jessie Louella Risner Hunt. He was united in marriage to Sherry J. Smith on April 6, 1985. Mr. Hunt was owner of Hunt Roofing in Waynesboro, TN.
Mr. Hunt departed this life on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 9 Months, 16 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry J. Smith Hunt; a son, Aaron Colton Hunt; daughters, Karla Sue Hunt Boucher and husband, Gary and Shonda Renae Hunt Holt and husband, Derrick; grandsons, Dylan Boucher, Gage Mathis, Casen Holt; step-grandsons, Kendall and Derrick Boucher; ten step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Willard Hunt, Wilburn Hunt, Bobby Hunt, Nolen Hunt, Jerry Hunt, Steve Hunt, Ronnie Hunt, and Ricky Hunt all of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Alberta Smith of Trenton, TN, Faye Rich of Collinwood, TN, Sue Quinley of Crockett Mills, TN, Charlotte Staggs of Waynesboro, TN, Pebble Overstreet of Clifton, TN; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bobby Gene Smith.
Services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Larry Janes, Laverne Griggs, and Casey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Arion Hunt Cemetery, 145 Charlie Lane, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Weston Skelton, Colton Hunt, Dylan Boucher, Derrick Holt, Gary Boucher, Larry Overstreet, Jeff Staggs, and Irvin Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be all his brothers and his brothers-in-law, Scott Smith and Ray Hill, Jr.
