ARLEEN IVY

Henderson, TN: Arleen Louise Jones Ivy, age 99 passed away February 24, 2013 at the Decatur County General Hospital.



She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Jasper Mack and Elizabeth Bingham Jones. She attended school in Glendale. She was married to Eddie Ivy in 1931 and made their home in the Glendale Community since that time. She was a lifelong active member of the Holly Springs Methodist Church. She was a longtime activist in the Glendale Community Club. She was active in commercial milk and poultry production and commercial gardening. She was also active in quilting groups and in the maintenance of the Holly Springs Methodist Church, Cemetery and the Glendale Community Center.



She is survived by: a sister, Eva Jones of Henderson; Nieces, Marcia Moore of Henderson, Marilyn Chandler of Jackson, Velta Peddy Flippo of Lawrenceburg, and Kathy Waldrip of Paris, TX; Nephews, Daniel Jones of Crossville, TN and Ero “Sonny” Jones of Lexington.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Ivy in 1970 and a brother, Roy Jones.



Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2 at the Holly Springs Cemetery with Rev. Bill Evans officiating.
