Arlene Weaver, a cherished soul whose life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and devotion, was born on May 24, 1939, in McNairy County, Tennessee. The beloved daughter of Arden and Evie Mae Brooks Younger, she carried their legacy in her heart throughout her 86 years.
On May 22, 1960, Arlene was united in marriage with Charles Duane Weaver, sharing nearly 61 years of partnership filled with mutual love and commitment until his passing on November 10, 2021. Together, they forged a life grounded in family and community.
For 32 years, Arlene was the heart and soul behind Weaver’s Boutique & Merle Norman Cosmetics in Corinth, Mississippi. Her passion for helping women embrace their beauty was evident in every interaction, making her boutique not just a business but a place of friendship and grace.
As a mother, Arlene’s dedication knew no bounds. She embraced motherhood as her highest calling, nurturing her son Stacey with boundless love and pride. Her role expanded warmly to include being an adored mother-in-law and a beloved grandmother to her grandchildren.
Arlene’s strength shone through her journey as a breast cancer survivor. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life as a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, and simple joys like fishing alongside her son or tending to her vibrant vegetable and flower gardens filled her days with peace and contentment.
She passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Selmer, Tennessee, leaving behind a profound legacy of love. She is lovingly survived by her son, Stacey Weaver and his wife Mary Elizabeth; three grandchildren, Nathan Tatum and wife Britney, Joshua Tatum and wife Mallory, Zachary Weaver; five great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Blakely Tatum, Cohen, Colby, and Chloe Tatum;
nephews, Kent Younger and wife Donna, Kurt Younger and wife Beverly; niece-in-law, Kristie Younger; great nephew, Josh Younger and wife Traci and great nieces, Nichole Sullivan and husband Greg and Laura Cothran and husband Benson, along with their families who all cherish her memory deeply.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Younger; nephew, Keith Younger.
Her life was a beautiful journey marked by grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community—a timeless inspiration that will continue to illuminate the hearts of all who knew her.
