Arnold Ray Hunt

Arnold Ray Hunt was born April 13, 1930 in Waynesboro, Tennessee, the son of the late Cicero Buchanan and Zada Priscilla Nutt Hunt. He was united in marriage to Grace Estella Prince on September 26, 1948 and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2006.
Mr. Hunt was a retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance after 20 years and had worked with Barnett Motor Company for 38 years prior to that. He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro, Tennessee.
Mr. Hunt departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2009 at his home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 8 Months, 5 Days.
He is survived by a daughter, Wanda Carol Hardin; two sons, Charles Edward Hunt and Tony Ray Hunt all of Waynesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Matthew David Hardin, Micah Hunt Hardin, Tyler Rich Hunt, Hannah Caroline Hunt, Kayton Marigrace Hunt; a brother, David Leon Hunt of Bartlett, TN; a sister, Leva Nell McCrory of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by three brothers, Ira Hunt, Craig Hunt, Freeman Hunt; a sister, Maxine Hunt Crowe, Ruthena Hunt, Annie Hunt, Aileen Hunt.
Services will be Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Pinckley officiating. Burial will be in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers were Matthew Hardin, Micah Hardin, Tyler Hunt, Edwin Barnett, Dwight Prince, Larry Prince.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, December 21, 2009 from 8 am to service time at the funeral home.
