Arnold D Smith was born November 10, 1926 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Amos C. and Molly Hopkins Smith.
He was united in marriage to Mary Ruth Sims on October 12, 1945. Mrs. Smith preceded him in death on November 29, 1997.
Arnold was retired and had worked most of his life as a craftsman. He made a living at woodworking and small engine repair.
He departed this life on January 3, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days.
Mr. Smith is survived by a son, Jerry (Butch) Smith of Selmer, TN; three grandchildren, Jimmy Smith Jr. of Shiloh, TN, Stephanie Stewart of MS and Gary Baker of Selmer, TN; two great grandchildren, Logan and Lainey Baker both of Selmer and several great grandchildren of MS.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Lavern Smith and a son, Jimmy D Smith.
Private services at a later time.
