Artie Jane Smith was born June 27, 1939 in the West Shiloh community of McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Theodore and Sara Artie Flatt Cotner.
She was a loving and encouraging mother. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and drawing. She loved to go sight seeing, flea markets, and looking at beautiful flowers.
Miss Smith departed this life on April 22, 2018 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 9 Months, 26 Days. She is survived by a son, Allen Lee Smith of Adamsville, TN; two daughters, Ruby Jewel Lynn of Selmer, TN, Delois Ann Evans of Crump, TN; two brothers, Johnny Cotner and wife Rose of Adamsville, TN, James Cotner and wife Betty of Bethel Springs, TN; a sister, Ruby Cotner of Adamsville, TN; five grandchildren, Teresa Jane, Rebecca, Gregory, Jimmy Wayne, and Ashley; two great grandchildren, Iris and Isabella; four nephews and two nieces; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Miss Smith was preceded in death by
a brother, George Gilbert Cotner.
