Artis Glen Harris, 94 years, 7 months and 6 days, of Adamsville, died Saturday, January 9, at his home.He was born June 3, 1915, in McNairy County, the son of the late Ocie Bedford Harris and Leatha Jewel Newell Harris. He was united in marriage to Oval Benita Dallas on November 26, 1932, who preceded him in death.Before retiring, he worked as a truckstop attendant in Selmer and as a farmer. He was of Methodist belief.He is survived by one daughter, Claytie Pounds of Adamsville; one son, Max Harris of Adamsville; four grandchildren: Dale Pounds, Karen Rye, Wesley Harris and Robert Harris; and three great grandchildren: Emily Pounds, Keaton Rye and Kaitlyn Rye.In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Glen H. Harris and one sister, Claytie Bradford.
