Aubrey Willis

Aubrey Willis was born July 25, 1924 in Stantonville, Tennessee the oldest of eight children to the late Lacy T. and Maggie Dickey Willis.



Mr. Willis was a retired night watchman from the State of Tennessee Highway Department in Bethel Springs, TN. He was a member of the Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Ramer, Tennessee.



Mr. Willis served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He was a German prisoner of war from November 6, 1944 until April 14, 1945. He earned several medals such as American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was very proud to have served his country.



Mr. Willis departed this life on November 19, 2011 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 3 Months, 25 Days. He is survived by two sons, Ernie Willis and wife Donna of Ramer, TN, Mark Willis and wife Deb of Burnsville, MS; two sisters, Mary Nell Lewis of Ringgold , GA, Faye Reeder and husband Butch of Pickwick, TN; two brothers, Bob Willis and wife Doris of Oklahoma City, OK, Terry Willis and wife Betty of Counce, TN; three grandchildren, Alison Willis McCaig and husband Ryan of Florence, AL, Matt Willis and wife Summer of Ramer, TN, Cory Willis of Burnsville, MS; a great-grandson, Miller Willis; host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Willis was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Tippins; two brothers, Joe Willis, Charlie Willis.
