Audrey Combs

Henderson, TN: Audrey Mae Martin Combs, age 97 passed away November 11, 2011 at her home.She was born and reared in Morris Chapel in Hardin County, the daughter of the late George Willis and Fannie Alexander Martin. She attended Morris Chapel Schools. She lived in Memphis where she married Lawrence Combs in 1942. They moved to Savannah in 1973. She went to work for Kaywindsor lady’s Apparel. Mr. Combs died in 1996. Mrs. Combs moved to Henderson in 1985. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Black of Henderson and Brenda Jones of St. Augustine, FL; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Combs in 1996 and a daughter, Linda Maurer in October 2010.
