B W Dodd

B W Dodd Jr. was born June 10, 1939 in Lutts, Tennessee the son of the late Berry Wes and Thelma Cleo Hammack Dodd Bates. Mr. Dodd departed this life Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days. Prior to his disability, he was employed at Wayne County Highway Department and had worked on a tow boat. He also had served in the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by six brothers, Guy, Warren, Elmer, Hillis, Archie, and Eliss. On March 18, 1971 he was married to Cathy Novem who survives. Other than his wife, he is survived by a son, Barry Dodd and wife Heather of Albany, GA; two daughters, Virginia (Gina) Hollis and husband Ronnie of Loretto, TN and Tracy Cook and husband Danny of Iron City, TN; seven grandchildren, Kyle Cook, Jake Cook, Blake Dodd, Kayleigh Dodd, Dakota Wilburn, Katie Hollis, and Karlie Hollis; two sisters, Ethel Robbins of Lutts, TN and Barbara Heard of Cypress Inn, TN; two brothers, Billy Hammack of Albany, GA and Jeff Bates of Dickson, TN.
