Barbara Blankenship

Barbara Blankenship was born on July 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Elton Bernis and Ruth Bain Shaw Shea. She married Dr. Henderson Donald Blankenship, Jr., who preceded her in death on December 17, 1999. Barbara departed this life on April 20, 2017, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

Barbara attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She lived in Hardin County all her life and was a homemaker and office manager for her husband's practice. Barbara enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, reading, and cooking. Barbara was very active in the church and enjoyed participating in church activities.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Henderson Donald Blankenship III and his wife, Kay, of Adamsville, Tennessee and Kevin Brian Blankenship of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Jane Anne Hunsucker and her husband, Phillip, of Somerville, Tennessee, Julie Elizabeth Blankenship of LaVergne, Tennessee, and Joy Melinda Blankenship of Nashville, Tennessee; a brother, Jim Shea of Heber Springs, Arkansas; a sister, Mary Lou Williams of Savannah, Tennessee; and a grandchild, Henderson Donald Blankenship IV.
