Barbara Nell Burks

Barbara Nell Burks departed this life on Monday, May 29, 2017, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 26 days. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 3, 1935 the daughter of the late Claude and Callie Hubbard.
On February 12, 1965 she was united in marriage to Bobby Wayne Burks, who preceded his wife in death on September 20, 1991.
Mrs. Burks retired from Hardin Medical Center after 43 years where she worked in central supply and surgery room. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and working in her yard.
Mrs. Burks is survived by her son, Rickey Austin and his wife Kathryn of Savannah, Tennessee; one grandchild, Shawn Austin; three great grandchildren, Cory Austin, Cameron Austin and Ashley Austin; two great great grandchildren, Nova and Chevelle Austin.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by two brothers, Otis and Harold Hubbard.
