Barbara Ann Foster

Barbara Ann Foster was born May 9, 1945 in Hornsby, TN, the daughter of the late Alan Vester Knight and Mildred Louise Crouse Knight. 

Barbara was united in marriage to Joe Allen Foster on August 17, 1963. Mr. Foster preceded her in death on August 22, 2013. 

Barbara spent 17 years of her life residing in a suburb of Chicago before moving back to West TN. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, TN. She retired from Kilgore after 28 years and was currently working for Mental Health and Developmental Services of Selmer, TN and loved it. 

Barbara found joy in simple pleasures. Playing Bingo was a passion, casinos sparked excitement, and cruising offered moments of serenity. Yet, her greatest joy came from being surrounded by loved ones - family and friends who filled her life with laughter and warmth.

She departed this life on June 29, 2024 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 79 Years, 1 Month, 20 Days. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Foster, daughter-in-law, Jamie Foster both of Bolivar, TN, Marcus Foster of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Madison Graham and husband Andy, Mckenzi Pirtle and husband Jonathan; three great grandchildren: Ava Claire Graham, Matthew Shane Graham, Lason Ann Foster Pirtle; a brother, Robert Alan Knight and wife Linda of Pinson, TN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Lowrance.
