On April 29, 1983, she was united in marriage to Moses Mitchell, who preceded his wife in death on March 14, 2016.
Prior to her retirement, Barbara was employed at Brown Shoe Company and Wise Company. She enjoyed reading, drawing, sewing, and spending time with her family.
Barbara Gail Mitchell departed this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 5 months, and 24 days.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Freeman of Corinth, Mississippi; brothers, Danny Odle, Bryan Odle, and Scottie Odle, all of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Teresa Hobbs and Annice Higgins, both of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kevin Freeman II and Morgan Duhrkopf; and great grandchildren, Anson Gatlin and Myla Hayes.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Wray Odle and Roger Odle and sister, Evon Odle.
