Barbara Heard

Barbara Esther Dodd Heard was born May 20, 1913 in Lutts, TN, the daughter of the late Berry Wess and Sara Ader Morris Dodd. Mrs. Heard died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home on Spain Rd. near Collinwood at the age of 100 Years, 2 Months, 24 Days. She was married to Willie H. Heard July 30, 1947. He died September 25, 1986. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Willie B. Heard of Iron City, TN, a daughter, Jeanette Greenlee of South Bend , IN, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Heard was preceded in death by seven brothers, Elmer Dodd, Hillis Dodd, Ellis Dodd, Guy Dodd, Archie Dodd, Berry Wess Dodd Jr., and Warren Dodd, and a sister, Ethel Robbins.

Services are scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Vance Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery near Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the funeral home in Collinwood.
