Barbara Foote Jernigan

Barbara Foote Jernigan was born December 17, 1938 in Adamsville, TN, to William Edwin and Quixie Anna Brandon Foote. Ms. Jernigan graduated from Selmer High School in Selmer, TN. Ms. Jernigan was employed by Redstone Arsenal until she retired in 1999. She was a long-time member of Whitesburg Baptist Church and the choir in Huntsville, AL. She enjoyed painting, gardening, singing and her family.
Ms. Jernigan departed this life on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in Huntsville, AL at the age of 81. She is survived by her three children, Richard K. Jernigan and wife, Joan; Marilyn J. Parker and husband Scott; and Stephen W. Jernigan and wife, Frankie; three grandchildren, Austin R. Parker, Abigail F. Jernigan, Kathrine G. Jernigan; two sisters, Frances McCullar and Juanita Kennedy, both of Selmer, TN. In addition to her parents, Ms. Jernigan was preceded in death by two brothers, James (Buddy) Foote, William E. Foote; and one sister, Patricia F. Swinney.
The family will hold a private graveside service in Selmer, TN.
