Barbara J. Martin

was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 16, 1943 the daughter of Charles Wesley Mulkey and the late Anna Lois Deason Reaves.

On March 25, 1967 she was united in marriage to Herbert Elwood Martin, Jr., who survives.

Barbara worked as a 911 operator for the Polk County Sheriff's office in Bartow, Florida, where she retired from. She loved her church, Riverview Baptist and loved the Lord.

Barbara departed this life on Friday, September 10, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 25 days.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, Herbert of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by her children, Deborah Ann Evans of Savannah, Tennessee, Paul Brian Martin of Seymour, Tennessee, and Bruce Anthony Martin of Berea, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; father, Charles Wesley Mulkey; and her brothers, Robert Mulkey of New York, Richard Tindell of Michigan, and Walter Vorapay of New Jersey.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Lois Reaves, three sons, George Kent, Gerry Kent, and Daniel Kent, one sister, Jerrie Mulkey, and one brother, Kenny Vorapay.
