Barbara Ann West McWilliams Burns

Barbara Ann West McWilliams Burns passed away peacefully at her home in Florence, Alabama on Wednesday January 21st, 2026, at the age of 80 years old. She was born January 19th, 1946, in Wayne County, TN to the late Ross and Willodean West.

Barbara dedicated many years to her career as a housekeeper. Her favorite pastime was tending to her flowers both indoors and outdoors. She loved to cook large meals for her family and specially making new desserts. Barbara was well known for her fried chocolate pies and her porcelain doll collection. She was a member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ, Florence, AL.

She is survived by her children, Jackie McWilliams (Kim) of Waterloo, AL, Bobby McWilliams (Janet) of Iron City, Tn, Stacy Bennett (O'Neil) of Harvest, AL, and Jason Burns of Florence, AL; grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Yolanda Bennett, Lyndsey Brooks and Emma Finley (Derek); great-grandchildren, KaBreyia, Jernee, Zade, Arya, Harper and Devyn; sister, Betty Givens, brothers; Johnny West and Donnie West

In addition to her parents, Barbara was proceeded in death by her first husband, Marvin McWilliams then later to follow with her husband of 33 years, Jerry Burn's; sisters, Imogene Nard, Frances West and Martha Burns.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 28th, from 12pm until 2pm service time at Shackleford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, TN with Jimmy Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery, Cypress Inn, TN.

Pallbearers are Joey West, Andy West, Derek Finley, Jimmy (Hoghead) Johnson, Jason Jaynes and Marty Pugh
