Barry Gene Carroll

Barry Gene Carroll of Waynesboro, TN was born October 4, 1962 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of Margaret Skelton Carroll of Waynesboro, TN, who survives, and the late Joe Wayne Carroll. He was united in marriage to Velva Grooms on February 12, 1994.Mr. Carroll was a brick layer.Mr. Carroll departed this life on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at his home at the age of 49 Years, 6 Months, 3 Days.Other than his mother, he is survived by his wife, Velva Grooms Carroll of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Cecelia Sheffler of TX; stepsons, Byron Grooms and wife, Amanda and Tyson Grooms all of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters, Connie K. Crews of Waynesboro, TN, Liz Hoskins of Pulaski, TN; brothers, Johnny Odle of Lawrenceburg, TN, Geno Odle of AL; two grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services will be Monday, April 9, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cary Crews and David Grooms officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Byron Grooms, Tyson Grooms, David Odle, Carl Odle, Jeff Mathis, and Darrell Staggs.
