Benjamin Franklin Wheeler

Mr. Benjamin Franklin "Bo" Wheeler, age 90 of Middleton, departed this life Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Delta Medical Center in Memphis.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Hardeman County April 6, 1923 to the late Samuel Jackson and Marguerite Shearin Wheeler. He lived all of his life in the Hardeman County area, as he was raised in the Middleburg area, where he worked on his family's farm. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 and worked at the Tannery in Bolivar for 39 years, retiring in 1987. He was united in marriage to the former Junell Bryant, who survives, September 7, 1957. He was a member of Reaves Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and tending to his cows.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Earline Wheeler of Bolivar; and a niece, Becky Marshall of Bartlett. His parents and a brother, Howard Wheeler, preceded him in death.
