Benny Martin Harbin

Benny Martin Harbin was born on December 11, 1956, the son of the late Abe and Lena E Holt Harbin.

On March 26, 1973, he was united in marriage to Janice Carroll Wallace. Together, they shared 36 years of marriage before her passing on April 11, 2009.

Throughout his life, Benny was a hardworking and dedicated individual who held various positions during his career. He was employed at a golf course in Smithville, Tennessee, Texas Boot Company in Smithville, Tennessee, and Genesco in Smithville, Tennessee, where he worked as a boot manufacturer. He later retired from Gains Furniture Company in McKenzie, Tennessee.

Benny was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden, where he especially loved growing vegetables.

Benny departed this life on November 1, 2026, at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 21 days.

He is survived by his sons, Bobby Harbin (Lisa) and Benny Harbin II; brothers, Dexter Harbin (Judy) and Paul Harbin; sisters, Lena Mae Wilkerson and Peggy Ann Austin; grandchildren, Rebecca Riddle, Bobby Harbin II (Courtney), Tricia Morales, and Triston Harbin; and great-grandchildren, Kaiden Holbrook, Kaizer Holbrook, Tobias Riddle, and Mathis Morales.

In addition to his parents and wife, Benny was preceded in death by his son, Mark Anthony Harbin; half-brothers, Jaimie Harbin and AR Harbin; sisters, Linda Kay Harbin, Sally Caldwell, Faye Harbin, Sue Grey, Betty Goodman, and Nancy Marie Harbin; and granddaughter, Savannah Harbin.
