Benny Ray "Pete" McClain

Benny Ray "Pete" McClain departed this life on December 22, 2014 in Selmer, TN at the age of 65 Years, 3 Months, 11 Days. He was born September 11, 1949 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Lewis and Adell Turner McClain.

Benny was united in marriage to Katie Melton on December 11, 1971. He was a longtime member of the Guys Christian Church and was retired from General Electric in Selmer with 32 years service. He enjoyed babysitting and spending time with his grandchildren, also reading, gardening, and taking care of his flowers.

He is survived by his wife Katie McClain of Ramer, TN; three daughters, Rachel Dancer and husband Chris of Selmer, TN, Allison McClain of Ramer, TN, Bethany Walters and husband Jared of Ramer; three grandchildren, Eva Dancer, Ashton Dancer, Daniel Walters; four sisters, Mardell Comer and husband George of Guys, TN, Nancy Null and husband Marion of Ramer, Joyce Butler and husband Jerry of Theo, MS, Mae Jourdan of Saltillo, MS and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McClain was preceded in death by five brothers, Lewis McClain, Jr., Burnice McClain, Archie McClain, Jimmy McClain, Tony McClain.
