BERNICE BUCKLEY

Henderson, TN: Mary Bernice Cupples Buckley age 94, passed away January 22, 2026, at her home.

She was born July 28, 1931, in Henderson, TN, the daughter of the late William Atlas and Bessie Jane Wyatt Cupples. She grew up and attended school in Henderson.

She married William Carl Buckley, Jr., in 1945, and they shared a daughter together, Tammy.

She worked for Henderson Home Furnishings for over forty years, where she enjoyed meeting people as she sold them furnishings.

She enjoyed working outside gardening and working in her flower beds and watching the birds and squirrels.

She loved being with her family.

Mrs. Buckley is survived by a daughter, Tammy Russell (David) of Henderson; two grandsons, Hunter Russell (Meghin) and Dalton Russell; two great grandchildren, Jace Russell and Mary Reese Russell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Jim Cupples and Jimmy Glenn Cupples and two sisters, Betty Porter and Maurice Rinks.

A celebration of Life will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 3rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Crook Avenue. 

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
