Berta Davidson

Berta McCasland Davidson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on July 19, 1916 the daughter of the late Irvin Sylvester and Mendia McDonald McCasland.On December 25, 1934 she was united in marriage to John Walker Davidson, who preceded her in death on August 14, 1997.Mrs. Davidson was an Inspector at Clifton Manufacturing Company for 15 years. She loved to play dominoes, Find-a-Word puzzles, and she loved to sing. She loved to give candy to everyone and was nicknamed "CandyLady". She was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ.Mrs. Davidson departed this life on Thursday, May 12th, 2011 at the age of 94 years, 9 months and 23 days.She is survived by 2 sons, Bob Davidson and Roy Davidson both of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 daughters, Betty Reaves of Savannah, Tennessee, Helen Hickox of Burnsville, Mississippi and Norma Stricklin of Collierville, Tennessee; a sister, Elma Love of Savannah, Tennessee; 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Andy Lloyd Davidson and John Walker Davidson, Jr.; a daughter, Mendia Elnora Creekpaum; a sister, Lizzie Davidson; 6 brothers, Edgar, Paul, Earl, Melrose, Andy and Sidney McCasland.
