Bertha Lou Ruth Calton Keeton

Bertha Lou Ruth Calton Keeton of Collinwood departed this life on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Life Care Center of Columbia in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 4 Months, 29 Days. She was born June 30, 1936 in Lawrence County, TN, the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Mazie Lorene Brewer Calton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keeton was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Juliana M. Schulte, sisters, Cenia Cawthon and Ernestine Bealler, brother, James Calton.

She was united in marriage to Clyde Keeton Jr. on December 1955. Mr. Keeton preceded her in death on July 11, 2002. Mrs. Keeton was a retired social worker for the State of Tennessee . She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ .

She is survived by son, Stanley Clyde Keeton and his wife Lynn of Columbia, TN, daughter, Nancy Melissa Keeton Schulte and her husband David of Sheffield, AL, grandchildren, Jennifer Keeton and Jessica Riddle, great great grandchildren, Jordan Riddle and Jalen Riddle, brother, Gene Calton of Collinwood, TN, sisters, Helen V. Brison of Fairview, TN, Joyce Midgett of Lebanon, TN.

Services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John D. Heard officiating. Interment will be in Highland Church of Christ Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 2, 11:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood, TN.
