Bertha Stricklin departed this life on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the age of 98 years, 10 months, 1 day.
She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on June 5, 1914, the daughter of the late Green and Linnie Franks Brown. On September 1, 1930, she was united in marriage to Walker Stricklin, who preceded her in death on December 17, 1979. Mrs. Stricklin lived in Hardin County for most of her life and was a member of the Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and cooking.
Mrs. Stricklin is survived by her children, Alta Mae Stricklin, Jerry Walter Stricklin and Linda "Janie" Abrams all of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, James Robert Brown of Adamsville, Tennessee; sister, Robbie Lee Wolfe of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Ray Stricklin; brothers, Millard and Graford Brown; sisters, Sally Stricklin, Carrie Stricklin, Lorene Brown and Charlene Brown.
