Bertha Treece

Bertha Treece was born April 10, 1921 in Milledgeville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Clifford and Pearl McCormick Hill. She was united in marriage to Herman Treece on January 14, 1939. Mr. Treece preceded her in death on December 9, 1998. Mrs. Treece was a member of Selmer First Baptist Church for 58 years and was a very active member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the WMU.She was a great prayer warrior for the Church. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company with 30 plus years of employment. Mrs. Treece departed this life on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month, 22 Days.She is survived by a son, Jerry Treece and wife Barbara of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren, Sherry, Amy, Ryan, Kimbie, and Carol; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Hill of Adamsville, TN, Cratis Hill of Selmer, TN; a host of other relatives and friends.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Treece was preceded in death by a son, Gary H. Treece on July 9, 1989; a sister, Beulah Walker; two brothers, Velmer Hill, Wilford Hill.
