Bertie C. Moore, died Monday, August 13. He was born on February 27, 1924 in Haywood County to Archey and Octavia Moore.
He is survived by his son, Larry (Sammie) Moore; his daughter, Sandra (Paul) Fooshee; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; two daughters; two great-grandsons; two brothers; and his parents.
He retired from the Armira Corporation after 37 years of service. He heard the calling to preach at age 16, pastoring 14 churches over 67 years. Teaching many lives, his desire was always to serve the Lord. They heard him, but followed Jesus.
