BESSIE LEWISwas born in Darlington, South Carolina on July 15, 1914 the daughter of the late Lee Samuel and Mellisa Cooper Jackson.She was united in marriage to James Lewis, who preceded her in death.Mrs. Lewis retired from the dry cleaning business. She was a seamstress, cook and was a helpful person to everyone. Mrs. Lewis loved her Lord and her family. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Bath Springs, Tennessee.Mrs. Lewis departed this life on November 30, 2009 at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 15 days.She is survived by a special nephew, Alphonso Jackson of Arlington, Virginia and a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.Other than her husband and parents, Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by 14 siblings, Annie Tillman, Ollie Jackson, Jelmar Jackson, Bessie Jackson, Sarah Woods, Pierce Jackson, Edward Jackson, Clavin Jackson, Elouise McClain, Connie Jackson, Vivian Jackson, Elsie Jackson, Glen Jackson and Lee Jackson
