Betty Ruth Adams

Betty Ruth Wright Adams of Collinwood, TN was born July 11, 1939 in Wayne Co., TN, the daughter of the late Eldred and Pearl Dickerson Wright. She was united in marriage to Billy Joe Adams on April 9, 1955.

Mrs. Adams was retired from Angelica Manufacturing, was a homemaker and was a member of Cornerstone Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.

Mrs. Adams departed this life Friday, October 13, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center, Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 3 Months, 2 Days.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Adams; sons, Freddy and Curtis Adams; a brother, Coy Wright and a sister, Mandy Graves all of Collinwood, TN and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by a sister, Nell Brewer and brothers, Roy, Glen and Stevie Wright.

Services will be Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Daniel Graves, David Thompson and Gary Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 6 pm to 10 pm and Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 9 am until service time at the church.
