Betty Lou McCoy Alexander

Betty Lou McCoy Alexander was born on May 4, 1936 in Enville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie David McCoy and Sarah Holley Meredith.

On June 11, 1955, she was united in marriage to Joe Walter Alexander, who preceded his wife in death on April 5, 1999.

Betty was an excellent seamstress and worked for Angelica for over 30 years. She was also a wonderful cook. Betty loved being a mother and wife and always took care of her family. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.  Mrs. Alexander was very religious and a God-fearing woman.

Betty Lou McCoy Alexander departed this life on October 20, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 89 years, 5 months, and 16 days.

She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Billie Sue Sharp.
