Betty Blasingame

Mrs. Betty Blasingame, age 82 of Bolivar, passed from this life Sunday afternoon, June 28, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital. The widow of James O. Blasingame, she was born July 14, 1926 in Bolivar to the late Marcus and Myra Jacobs Fulghum. She was a graduate of the Bolivar Central High School class of 1944 and was a former Miss Central High. She owned Ragon's Clothing Store for twenty years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bolivar.She leaves as her survivors a daughter, Vicki Barnett of Shawnee, Oklahoma; a son, Jim Blasingame of Bolivar; a sister, Myra Hazlegrove of Bolivar; two brothers, Jerry Fulghum of Bolivar and Joe Fulghum of Bolivar; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Warr; and four brothers, Ed, Marcus (Snooks), Robert and Neely Fulghum.
