BETTY EVANS
HENDERSON, TN; Betty Jane Hayre Evans, age 69, passed away Saturday, June 29 at Adamsville Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Evans was born on January 9, 1950 in Selmer, McNairy County and reared in the Finger community, the daughter of the late Quinton Hayes and Stella Lynch Hayre. She attended school in Bethel Springs and graduated in 1968. She worked at T.R.M. Clothing factory. She married Dale Evans in 1973 and they made their home in Lawton, TN. He passed away in 1977. She was married to Royce Evans in 1979 and they made their home in Adamsville. Royce passed away in 1993. She is survived by her children and grandchildren.
Betty was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was the best mom there ever was. May she rest in peace.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2nd at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson – Crook Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 12:30 PM until service time on Tuesday.
