Betty Lawson Owen

Betty Lawson Owen was born on July 31, 1957, the daughter of Tava Lawson and the late Lloyd Lawson.

Betty had a fun-loving spirit and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed shooting guns, fishing, and spending time at the drag races—always ready for a little excitement and adventure.

She is survived by her mother, Tava Lawson of Selmer, TN; her son, Phillip Ray Matlock of Milledgeville, TN; her granddaughter, Emma Marie Matlock of Milledgeville, TN; her brother, Joey Lawson of Ramer, TN; her uncle, Wayne Plunk of Waynesboro, TN; and her cousin, Johnny Plunk of Michie, TN.

In addition to her father, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Adam Matlock; her uncles, Virgil Plunk, Roger Dale Plunk, Junior Plunk, and Robert Plunk; her maternal grandparents, Eulie and Mary Plunk; her paternal grandparents, Burton and Ottie Jones Lawson; her paternal stepmother, Lee Jones; and her maternal stepmother, Letha Plunk.
