Betty Sue McKee

Mrs. McKee died Thursday morning at her home in Memphis.
The daughter of the late John Aubrey and Mary Magdalene "Lena" Howell Maxwell, she was a native of Hardeman County and had lived in Memphis since the late 1950's. She married Mr. Gorden McKee on July 22, 1950. They were married for 52 years before his death June 15, 2003. Mrs. McKee enjoyed outings with her church friends, reading, working puzzles and loved to play chicken foot. She was a retired nurses' assistant at St. Joseph Hospital in Memphis for 28 years and was a member of the Forest View Church of Christ in Memphis.
She leaves three daughters, Judy Drewry and Linda Wells, both of Memphis, and Barbara Wilson of Nesbit, MS; two sons, Billy and Jackie McKee, both of Memphis; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister Dorothy Garner of Ocala, FL; and a very good friend Dave Wicker of Memphis.
