Betty V. Russell

Betty V. Russell was born August 13, 1939 in Alabama the daughter of the late Ellie and Inez Rhodes Lard.

She was united in marriage to Sherman Russell on December 1, 1956.

Mrs. Russell worked at General Electric from 1971-1999. She enjoyed canning, working in her flower beds especially the roses, and day lilies. She never met anyone whom she couldn't strike up a conversation with and always found the positive in everyone. She is described by her family as an honest, good and decent lady with a beautiful penmanship who always felt closer to God when working in her vegetable garden. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Russell departed this life on December 17, 2018 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 4 Months, 4 Days. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Sherman Russell of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Gayle Russell of Bethel Springs, TN; a son, Mike Russell of Bethel Springs, TN; twin sisters, Bernice Siler of Adamsville, TN and Callie White of Medon, TN; three grandchildren, Amanda Smith and husband Dustin, Chad Russell, Sheena Russell; two great grandchildren, Emelia and Lawson Smith; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Lard.
