Betty Jean Smith

Betty Jean Smith was born May 10, 1943 in the Hickory Corner Community of Chester County , the daughter of the late George Guy and Lillian Josephine Bryant Smith. Betty was raised and lived all of her life in the Masseyville Community. She was a 1961 graduate of Chester County High School a US Army Veteran serving five years, and retired from Western State Mental Health Institute after thirty years. She later worked eight years part time at the Chester County Health Care. She was a life long member of the Mitchell Chapel Baptist Church.Miss. Smith departed this life on May 27, 2012 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 17 Days.She is survived by six sisters, Nancy Patterson and husband Donnie of Henderson ,Tn; Diane Bullman and husband Ray of Henderson , Tn; Patsy Hatch and husband Bobby of Masseyville, Tn; Donna Hatch and husband Paul of Masseyville, Tn; Kathy McMahon and husband Jeff of Middleton, Tn; Judy Hodges and husband Anthony of Jackson, Tn; four brothers, Larry Don Smith and wife Judy of Henderson, Tn; Mickey Ray Smith and wife Cindy of Jackson , Tn; Jimmy Dean Smith of Henderson, Tn; Barry Neal (Butch) Smith and wife Rhoda of Henderson, TN; In addition to her parents, Miss. Smith was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe Smith.
