Betty Sue Smith

Betty Sue Smithwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 19, 1926 the daughter of the late Herschel Howard and Louella Hurst Wolfe.On July 5, 1946 she was united in marriage to Harvey Smith, Jr., who survives.Mrs. Smith retired from Brown Shoe Company, where she worked as a Office Clerk. She was the community seamstress, a great cook and an avid antique collector, refinishing many items of furniture. She loved her family, her grandchildren and working in her flower gardens. Mrs. Smith was a member of the East End United Methodist Church for 50 years. She loved working at her church and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years. Mrs. Smith departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the age of 84 years, 5 months, 22 days.In addition to her husband, Harvey of Savannah, Tennessee, she is survived by 2 daughters, Libby Smith Jones and Jeannie Smith Shelby both of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Brad Jones and wife Tiffany, Justin Shelby, Kristen Tomlinson and husband Justin; 3 great grandchildren, Tyler, Trae and Tate Tomlinson; 2 brothers, Jack Wolfe and Jerry Wolfe both Savannah, Tennessee.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Drexel Wolfe.
