Betty Thomas was born May 29, 1942 in Benton County, MS the daughter of the late Vardeman (Red) and Emma Sanders Sides.
She was united in marriage to Benny Thomas on September 20, 1968.
Mrs. Thomas was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed singing Southern gospel songs, working in her flowers, and taking care of children. She was a member of the Thomas Chapel Independent Church in Guys, Tennessee and loved the Lord.
Mrs. Thomas departed this life on December 11, 2017 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 75 Years, 6 Months, 12 Days.
She is survived by her husband Benny Thomas of Guys, TN; a son, Brian Thomas and wife Brenda of Guys, TN; five sisters, Mary White and husband Chuck of Roger Springs, TN, Virgie Deming and husband Tom of Saulsbury, TN, Marie Stevens and husband Bobby of Glen, MS, Mamie White and husband Ken of Arlington, TN, Dot Frederick and husband Ronnie of Corinth, MS; three brothers, David Sides and wife Gail of Ramer, TN, Eddie Sides and wife Kay of Guys, TN, Johnny Sides and wife Debbie of Henderson, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by a son, Benny Carl Thomas Jr.; a sister, Louise Jones; two brothers, Bill and Thomas Sides; two nephews, Jason Brown and Jerry Sides.
