Betty Sue Whitten, 72, of Hornsby, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at her home.
The widow of John Frank Whitten, who died in 1999, she was a homemaker. She was born June 15, 1937 in Gibson County to the late Rora Otto Webb and Ola Mae Riley Webb. She was a production worker with Kilgore for 10 years. She lived in Hardeman County since 1980 and previously lived in Henry County.
Survivors include two daughters, Emily Jane Whitten of Hornsby, Ola Faye McDonald of Middleton; a son, Edward Wesley Whitten of Milan; two sisters, Mable Powell and Lettie Graves, both of Trenton; three grandchildren, April Nicole and Britney Faye McDonald, Tina Marie Whitten; and three step grandchildren, Cathy Renae Manus, Sally Ann and Joey Allen Hicks. In addition to her parents and husband, who she married May 19, 1960, she was preceded in death by a son, John Wayne Whitten.
