Henderson, TN: Beverley Ann Collins age 68, passed away January 5, 2026, at her home.

She was born September 1, 1957, in Memphis, TN, the daughter of the late George Lee and Sadie Ruth Kennamore Buchanan. She grew up in Miami, FL and graduated from Miami Dade High School. She then attended Miami Dade Community College.

She married Buddy Collins, Jr. on April 29, 1988, in Selmer, TN. They made their home in Henderson.

She worked as a substitute teacher for the Chester County Board of Education for ten years.

She was a member of the Parkburg Baptist Church in Pinson.

She was the president of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 286 at Parkers Crossroads, TN.

She loved her family and was a devout grandmother who enjoyed babysitting her grandkids. She enjoyed sewing and crafting.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband, Buddy Collins, Jr. of Henderson; a son, Joshua Lane Meek (Rachel) of Boca Raton, FL; two daughters, Amber Huddleston (Christopher) of Beech Bluff and Christina Long (Ethan) of Pinson; nine grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Lee Buchanan of Waynesboro, TN; a sister, Catherine Myers of FL and a brother-in-law, Charles Oliver of Oakland, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Patricia Oliver.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Veterans Honor Guard at Parkers Crossroads.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 11th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Danny Rachel officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avnenue 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM.
