Beech Bluff: William Norman Corey, age 66 passed away July 25, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born in San Francisco, CA and grew up in Sacramento, the son of the late Jack and Bertha Lenoire Corey. He graduated from Sacramento High School. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1966 and served aboard several air craft carriers during Vietnam. He married Brenda Chumley in 1967. They made their home in San Diego and Sacramento where Mr. Corey worked as a deputy and for the California State Police. He had served as a body guard for Ronald Reagan while he was Governor of California. They moved to Chester County in August of 1980. He was a member of the Middlefork Road Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carol Chumley Corey and two sons, Jason Phillip Corey of Oakland and Eric Marshall Corey and wife Sunny of Beech Bluff. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Carol Corey in 1978 and a brother, Jack Phillip Corey.
