BILL WOOD
Reagan, TN: Bill Wood age 81 passed away February 8, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 20, 1935 in Houston, MO and grew up in Texas County, MO the son of the late Richard Churchill and Wilma Beatrice Crabtree Wood. He married Vonah Martin in 1957. They made their home in Illinois, where he manufactured and installed storm doors and windows. They moved to Reagan in 1967. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Johnson Controls at Lexington, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Roby Church of Christ where he served as an elder.
He enjoyed fishing, and auto repair and restoration. He also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.
Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Vonah Martin Wood of Reagan; three sons, Craig Wood (Kim) of Enville, Todd Wood (Lorie) of Nolensville and Kevin Wood (Julie) of Enville; three daughters, Pam Wood of Reagan, Dana Wood (Kenneth) of Wildersville and Alisha Worthey (Eric) of Enville; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Wood of Fort Worth, TX, Jerry Wood of Sparland,IL and Richard Dennis Wood of Fort Worth, TX and one sister, Sandra Kemper of Peoria, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Gerald Wood, Bobby Wood, Larry Wood, Donald Wood and Dale Largent and three sisters, Betty Loy, Carolyn Maxson and Patsy Spencer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 10, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ben Flatt officiating. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Thursday.
