Billie Hanson Childress

Billie Hanson Childress of Chewalla, TN, was born November 21, 1941 in Ramer, TN. Mr. Childress departed this life on October 4, 2018 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 10 Months, 13 Days.

He was Christian in faith. He had worked for Townhouse in Selmer as a Foreman, King Manufacturing for several years, and retired from Ramer Wood Products. Billie as an avid fisherman, and enjoyed coon and duck hunting.

He is survived by three sons: William Childress of Savannah, TN, Johnny Childress (Wendolyn) of Corinth, MS, Anthony Childress of Ramer, TN; five grandchildren: Amber Childress, Jonathan Childress (Tommie), John Austin Childress, Nicholas Childress, Heather Rose; 6 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Susie Clingan (Tim Kitchens) of Iuka, MS; three brothers: Tony Davis (Peggy) of Chewalla, TN, Avie Moore (Patricia) of Ramer, TN, Kenny Moore (Evonne) of Corinth, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Childress was preceded in death by his father, Clay H. Childress; mother, Jewel Derryberry Childress Moore; the mother of his children, Nancy Teague Roberts; two sisters, Janice Childress and Joyce Vandiver; a brother, Charles Moore.
