Mr. Bishop passed away Wednesday morning in Holly Springs, Mississippi.
He was born August 7, 1982 in Brownsville to Shirley Wilson Pittman of Ripley and the late Billy Joe Bishop, Sr. Mr. Bishop was a member of Whiteville First Baptist Church and lived most of his life in Haywood County before moving to Ripley in March, 2009.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Tyler Alan Wesley Bishop of Memphis; a step-father, Robert Pittman of Ripley; two sisters, Jennifer Hughes of Whiteville and Becky Bishop Barham of Henderson; two brothers, Adam Bishop of Bells and Robert Vestal of Henning; two step-sisters, Theresa "Sissy" Cox of Beech Bluff and Mandy Robinson of Jackson; four step-brothers, Jimmy Pittman of Bolivar, Bobby Pittman of Lexington, Brandon Pittman of Beech Bluff and Bobby Burton of Henderson; three grandmothers, Birdie Wilson of Jackson, Georgia Mae Bishop of Ripley and Helen Leek of Moscow; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley New.
