Billy Burton Tomlinson

Mr. Bill Burton Tomlinson departed this earthly life on December 6, 2016 at Methodist Hospital, Germantown, TN at the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

He was born August 11, 1933 to Lester and Dolie Lamberth Tomlinson of Pocahontas, TN. Mr. Tomlinson was an employee of Bell South Telephone Company for 40 years. He was a member of the Middleton First Baptist Church and for many years worked as a volunteer for the Hardeman County Baptist Association Disaster Relief Team.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Faye Tomlinson; 1 son, Billy Lynn (Kim) of Pocahontas; 3 daughters, Jean Sullivan of Middleton, Beth (Tim) Smith of Middleton and Emily McAnally of Arlington; 4 grandsons, Jason and Bill Tomlinson, Coy Sullivan and Jamie Smith; 2 granddaughters, Kimberly "Sissy" Tomlinson and Kaitlyn Smith; 2 great-grandsons, Payne and Wyatt Tomlinson; and 4 great-granddaughters, Payton, Jayce and Baylee Tomlinson, and Taylor Poindexter.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lester and Dolie Tomlinson; his first wife, Jeanette; 2 brothers, Roger and Fred; and 1 sister, Marie Stocks; and several nieces and nephews.
