BILLY JACK DEVORE
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 26, 1948 the son of the late William Ray (Bill) Devore and Edna Earl Culver Devore Smith.
On June 30, 2001 he was united in marriage to Beverly Hardin, who survives.
Mr. Devore worked as a pipe straightener for Tenaris Steel Mill for 35 1/2 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church and he was a member of the National Rifle Association. Mr. Devore was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed doing mechanic work, traveling, Civil War Relics and Memorabilia and he loved cats and dogs.
Mr. Devore departed this life on August 7, 2009 at the Hardin Medical Center Health and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 12 days.
Other than his wife Beverly of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by 2 sons, William Eddie Devore of Lexington, Tennessee and Larry Michael Devore of Savannah, Tennessee.
one step-daughter, Amanda Hardin Moore of Savannah, Tennessee and one step-son, Thomas Greg Hardin of Savannah, Tennessee
3 grandchildren, Brittany, Tabitha and Morgan Devore and one step-grandchild, Eli Moore
3 sisters, Shirley Doran and her husband Monty of Savannah, Tennessee, Caralyn Balentine of Savannah, Tennessee and Doris Lineberry and her husband Rex of Savannah, Tennessee
Other than his parents, Mr. Devore was also preceded in death by one brother, James Ray Devore.
