Billy Ray Dowty of Semer, TN was born June 18, 1946, the son of the late Crosby Alexander Dowty and Marie Dowty McMahan.
Billy was a retired employee of the Town of Selmer. He enjoyed playing dominoes and fishing. He departed this life on April 7, 2016 in Adamsville, TN at the age of 69 Years, 9 Months, 20 Days.
He is survived by a sister, Laverne Ramsey and husband Nelson of Selmer; a brother, Bobby Dowty of Punta Gorda, FL; a sister-in-law, Joy Dowty of Paris, TN; a niece, Jennifer Taylor and husband Mark; two nephews, Heath Ramsey and wife Jennifer, Tony Smith and wife April, and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dowty was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Dowty.
