Billy Lige Heard of Collinwood, TN was born November 30, 1936 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the son of the late James Herschel and Viva Pigg Heard.
Mr. Heard was a retired mechanic/welder and a United States Army veteran.
Mr. Heard departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at his home in Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 8 Months, 30 Days after a sudden illness.
He is survived by son, Kevin Heard; daughter, Rita Hinton and husband, Anthony all of Collinwood, TN; three grandchildren, Tiffani Hinton, Kaden Heard, Bailie Heard; sister, Betty Sue Daniel, Florence, AL; brother, Johnny V. Heard, Collinwood, TN; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Heard was preceded in death by his former wife and the mother of his children, Corinne Heard.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gregg Lee officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Monday, August 30, 2010 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, August 31, 2010 from 9 am to service time at the funeral home.
